Oh Christmas Tree !

Christmas to me is a memory of smell, and thats a real tree. 

Back in NZ where I grew up the pine and white lilies is etched forever as a happy childhood memory of Christmas.  

Not sure why I really love white on a tree but I just like to keep it simple.  

For those that know me, your thinking .. mmm ... she has a 5 year old ... {and he is a little arty I must brag}, I did let him put the first decoration on and after the photo's I will let him at it to add his handmade beauties.   

I mega-over-decorated his room as a snow cave a couple of weeks ago for a surprise so he is quite contempt to add wonderful kindy and homemade-handmades to his own room.  Next year I don't think he will let me away with it.

My little guy was devastated twice in one day, and thank you Santa for coming to my rescue !

After a marathon drive to a few suppliers  from one end of Sydney to the other to get hold of some more secret recipe clay for another market on Saturday at Balmain, it was a mega long apparently very BORING day, we then found a magic key that opens any door when you do not have a chimney aka chim-a-knee .... now not so boring day after all.. 

Twas all good until little guy (5) dropped it and it broke, and after a plate of watermelon to console such devastation about the key he accidentally dropped that plate too, knowing that it was a favourite of the MUMMY MONSTER he was again crushed .... all in one day ! 

Thank you Santa,  although you also dropped the bowl and broke it a little more whilst trying to unglue your super glue fingers, but I cant really remember because you have that special magic red glitter that makes adults forget when they see you.  Hopefully mummy wont get fingerprinted in the next few days cause they really aint gonna find a print .. ouch. 

And then we did clay.

Year of the Rabbit !

Lucky for me its the year of the Rabbit !


I have had these clay rabbits made for a while ready for the shop, but just haven't had the time to photograph and load them up, until today.


So as Easter creaps up and is only a few weeks away these guys can stay in fashion for the rest of the year as well.

And my new woodland friend, "Moroccan Squirrel"

Twas a few days after !

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE !  

Why does it always feel like it got here so fast, 


..... then the day arrives and its just a massive WHIRL WIND of Santa paper, noise, food, drinks, did i mention NOISE, laughs, grumps, tears, bed, food, drinks, more people, more presents, more ham, more pav !


This year was that special time when Mr 3 really got Santa Claus, his only request was a Spiderman watch, and that big fat guy in the red suit delivered as promised leaving behind a trail of snow ! It was just the best. 




I love wrapping that special present for that special someone !

Don't you just hate it when for once in your life you decide to be responsible,  just because you WANT it, do you really NEED it, well today I kick my self as I REALLY REALLY NEED that Martha Stewart  Aqua and Brown blended perfect ribbon that was in my basket last week (and put back ... aaargh).  It was made for the peacock clay tags, mmm my chance of going back to the shop and it being there are what ??

Another Making Day

It was a stinking hot day in Sydney today, fast drying for clay ! Note my little helper's play do creations (with Nana's help) in the back ground, he loves it when its a "making day" !

53 DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS !

Its so exciting to see all the christmas decorations and stationary around for christmas, this year I am going to try and get through the list in my head of handmade things to make, (most of which did'nt quite make it off the drawing board from last year in time).  I have just listed some new cards and clay ornaments on my madeit shop for christmas, and will be adding some more designs in the upcoming weeks.
